Hello there 👋🏼 I'm Charm, an experience designer with 15 years creating digital, brand and event experiences for enterprise, consumer and technology brands.
My expertise lies in creating thoughtful, user-centered experiences, but what I enjoy most is figuring things out alongside the people I'm working with. I like asking questions, understanding how things fit together, and helping teams work through challenges that don't always have obvious answers. Whether I'm designing a digital product, shaping a brand experience, or helping define a new direction for a project, I'm usually happiest when I'm learning something new along the way.
I started my career in 2010 as a visual designer, working on marketing communications for print and web. While I still enjoy getting my hands dirty with production work now and then, my role has naturally evolved. Today, I focus on shaping UI/UX, visual systems, and customer-facing experiences across digital products, event platforms, and branded experiences—often helping teams set direction, establish strong foundations, and work through complex challenges.
I’ve lived in a few places along the way. I was born in Quezon City, Philippines, and raised on the island of Guam. After high school, I moved to San Diego, where I spent over a decade before heading north to Seattle in 2015. In 2020, I returned to Southern California, spending time in Los Angeles, Orange County, and eventually making my way back to San Diego before recently returning to Seattle.
I studied User Experience Design at General Assembly; Arts & Technology at California State University, San Marcos; and Graphic Communications at Palomar College. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked across agency, in-house, and consulting environments as both a hands-on designer and design lead, collaborating closely with product, content, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams.
When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me wrangling my 3-year-old son, spending time with family, walking my dogs, trying new recipes, or attempting to catch up on all the things I said I'd do around the house. I also try to make regular trips back to the Philippines, which keeps me connected to my roots and inspires how I show up in my work.
