Hello there 👋🏼 I'm Charm, a multi-disciplinary designer focused on Visual Design. I have over a decade of experience working in the design industry across various Product, Brand and Marketing roles.
My expertise lies in creating thoughtful and user-centered experiences that bring together product design, brand and marketing. Having worked with startups to large Fortune 500 brands, I am often the ‘go-to’ creative wearing many production hats. I'm always up for a good challenge, and I thrive in solving problems and learning new things.
In 2010, I started my career as a visual designer crafting marketing communication products for print and web. Fast forward to today, I still get my hands dirty with production work here and there but my skillset has since expanded, allowing me to delve into a wide range of design disciplines — from creating bespoke UI/UX to devising creative strategies and end-to-end product experiences.
I’ve lived in a few geographical locations throughout my life – quick breakdown: I was born in Quezon City, Philippines and raised on the tropical island of Guam. After graduating high school in 2004, I moved to San Diego, CA and lived there for 11 years before relocating to Seattle, WA in 2015. After spending some time in evergreen Pacific North West, I ventured my way back down to sunny Pacific South West in 2020 - landing in Los Angeles for a little while before recently settling down in Orange County.
I studied User Experience Design at General Assembly; Arts & Technology at California State University, San Marcos; and Graphic Communications at Palomar College. For over 10 years, I have been fortunate to have the pleasure of working on a variety of awesome client projects as a creative designer and lead – in agency settings, in-house as well as consulting environments.
When I’m not designing new products, you'll find me enjoying time with my family, hiking trails with my dogs, cooking new and old recipes, museum hopping, urban gardening (proud plant lady - check out chlorofunk on instagram), interior decorating or doing some home improvement project. My hobbies help keep my creative juices flowing so I stay inspired.
