Retail point of purchase experience
Fostering customer loyalty through education-based marketing and branded merchandiseHeadquartered in Texas, Exxon Mobil Corporation (XOM) is one of the world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas companies. According to their corporate site, they are also the largest refiner and marketer of petroleum products. BDA has been a long-time partner with XOM in producing POP materials and branded merchandise.
In an effort to increase awareness and brand loyalty, XOM was looking to invest in different and innovative shopper marketing channels. BDA proposed integrated marketing campaigns with a range of POP and promotional products to drive interaction with XOM’s Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil products in the U.S market. I was requested by the Client Services team to design POP displays, counter-top display units, and promotional product concepts for this project – focusing on education marketing and gift-with-purchase campaigns.
Discovery + Strategy
The project kicked off with a stakeholder discovery workshop intended to engage key stakeholders; gather ideas, concerns, assumption, and any input on customer behaviors; ultimately building a shared understanding of design goals.
Unfortunately, the relevant information is confidential so I'm unable to share more details from those interactions.
Design Execution
I took my sketch ideas and rendered them out in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
